About This Site
Zypress the Traveller is a small travel diary showing where Zypress is now, nearby saved places, and visitor suggestions.
User Contributions
When you submit recommendations, you agree to send only lawful, respectful, and relevant content. Do not submit private information, harmful content, spam, or anything you do not have the right to share.
Pick Me Up
Pick Me Up gives you a temporary code and opens a limited drop-off window that other visitors can see on the map. The code is for that pickup session only and is required before anyone can submit a drop-off suggestion. A suggestion does not guarantee that a place will be accepted, published, or visited by Zypress. You agree to use it only to suggest a respectful public place inside the visible range.
Editorial Control
The owner/admin controls the site and all published content. Submitted suggestions may be reviewed, accepted, rejected, ignored, edited, rewritten, renamed, moved, reformatted, turned into public activities, or removed at any time. Suggestions help guide the project, but they do not guarantee that Zypress will visit or publish a place.
No Account Required
You do not need an account to use this site. The site may still store submitted recommendations, timestamps, and technical data needed to run the project.
Privacy
By using this site, you should also read and agree to the Privacy Policy. It explains how data may be collected, stored, and processed when you use Zypress.
Third Parties
This site uses Supabase, jsDelivr, OpenStreetMap tile servers, and Nominatim. Those providers process data according to their own terms and privacy practices.
No Warranty
This site is provided as is. Travel information, recommendations, maps, and route places may be incomplete, delayed, or incorrect.

About This Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Zypress the Traveller handles data when you visit the site, view the map, or suggest a place.
No Account Required
You do not need to create an account or provide a name to use this site.
Data You Submit
When you drop Zypress off and suggest a place, the site stores the selected coordinates, category, place name, description, related city or area, pickup session reference, and submission timestamp.
Pickup Sessions
When Pick Me Up is used, the site stores a pickup session with a hashed version of the temporary code, a salt, pickup coordinates, expiration time, and drop-off status. The plain code is shown in your browser for the session but is not stored as plain text in the database. While a pickup session is active, its drop-off range, expiration time, and session reference may be visible to visitors so the shared map can show the active Drop Me Off window.
Published Activities
Suggestions are not publicly readable as suggestions. If the owner/admin approves a suggestion, its place name, description, category, and coordinates may be edited and published publicly as an activity on the map.
Online Count
The online count uses a temporary browser session id stored outside cookies. The site sends a small heartbeat to estimate how many visitors are active. This heartbeat is used for the online count and is not an account.
Location and Map Data
Maps are displayed with Leaflet using OpenStreetMap tile servers. When you use Drop Me Off and choose a spot, the selected coordinates may be sent to Nominatim so the site can identify the nearest city or area. Do not submit private or sensitive locations.
Technical Logs and Browser Data
Zypress does not require accounts and does not currently use cookies for accounts, analytics, or advertising personalization. Third-party providers such as Supabase, jsDelivr, OpenStreetMap, Nominatim, and the website host may process technical request data such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages, request times, requested URLs, and error logs to provide, secure, and maintain their services.
Third-Party Services
The site currently uses Supabase for database hosting and public API requests, jsDelivr to load the Supabase JavaScript client, OpenStreetMap tile servers to display map tiles, and Nominatim to identify cities from selected coordinates. Leaflet is bundled with the site and runs in your browser.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or information about how personal data is handled. Because Zypress does not require accounts and does not ask for your name or email when you suggest a place, it may not be possible to identify which submissions belong to you. To make a privacy request, contact contact@zypressthetraveller.com.
